DNAW East - students hard at work on Saturday, December 8th
We’re back in the swing of things! Hope to see you at class on Saturday!
We are very proud of the hard work that Dionis, Zak, and Kelli put into our summer Art & Design program at Matrix Human Services (McNichols & Gratiot) as our portion of the Osborn Arts Collaborative: Detroit’s summer camp. Congratulations all around on a job well done!
*note that CAP is fully integrating STEM/STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, [art], and Math) concepts into our custom curriculum across the board. Stay tuned for more examples of STEM/STEAM at work in the upcoming weeks and months!*

Students in the Detroit Neighborhood Arts Workshops program (DNAW East) are working in one of their last class sessions for the year. The students had the great opportunity to work in a wide range of mediums such as: acrylic and encaustic painting, using glass and tiles to create mosaics, spray painting, drawings, wax sculptures, using yarn to create self-portraits, beading, etc.
