Students over at Bunche!
In one of our Future Detroit classes, the kids are getting down to business making wire cars!
DNAW-E students continuing to work on their previous project of creating a portrait of someone who has significantly shaped their lives. The goal was to use mixed media to stray away from the expected and create a 3 dimensional piece using various materials!
Congratulations to 2 of our DNAW East students!
The Southeastern Michigan Region of the Scholastic Art Awards is sponsored by the College forĀ Creative Studies and supported by volunteer art teachers in Wayne and Oakland Counties. This region receives over 4,000 works of art and almost 300 portfolios from middle school and high school students, which are then adjudicated and selected for Honorable Mentions, Silver and Gold Key Awards, American Vision nominations, and Best of Show Portfolios. The art exhibit and opening ceremony are held annually at the College for Creative Studies. Approximately 1,000 works of art are displayed in this exhibit throughout all four levels of the Walter B. Ford II Building.
